About the role:

This position is within the Design department, reporting into the Head of Product.  You will be required to develop technically viable products in line with brand strategy and under the guidance of the Head of Product.  The role will centre around the development of products for Curvy Kate Lingerie, Curvy Kate Swimwear, and Brastop brands.

 Your role will be varied. From design concept inline with brief delivered to you by the Head of Product, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining concept CAD’s, sourcing fabrics and componentry and presenting those design concepts, along with seasonal presentations internally.

 As one of the colourists for Curvy Kate and internal Brastop brands, you will review & approve the colour of assigned products, reviewing, and commenting on colour submissions in accordance with the Production critical path, raising any concerns you have and keeping and maintaining filed records of all the colour work you are responsible for.

 You will attend and coordinate fit sessions to develop the fit of assigned Product in line with Production Critical Path, under the guidance of the Senior Garment Technologist while demonstrating an understanding of product relevance by focusing on the key features & benefits throughout fit development.

You will have the following experience/competencies:

  • Competent, proactive and self-motivated.
  • 1 year industry-relevant experience
  • BA (Hons) degree in Contour Fashion, specialising in Lingerie & Swimwear.
  • Basic skills using Lectra software, for pattern amendments & grading.
  • Proficient in Adobe software for creation of technical and design drawings.
  • Keen interest in fuller bust & fuller figure Lingerie & Swimwear product.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within a busy design team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.
  • Ability/willingness to travel if necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
